SuMo downplays marginalization of regional parties

Patna,(BiharTimes): Senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi on Tuesday downplayed the fear of marginalization of the regional parties in India and suggested that his party would go for the Assembly election next year with the alliance partners the Lok Janshakti Party and Rashtriya Lok Samata Party.

He said that the marginalization of regional parties in Maharashtra and Haryana must not be seen as a national pattern, but it is an isolated phenomenon.

Talking to the media he disagreed with some political pundits who fear that regional parties are facing extinction.

SuMo said that the BJP had no plan to leave its allies in Bihar.

Political observers are of the view that unlike in Maharashtra and Haryana the RJD-JD(U)-Congress alliance appears to be strong and the BJP can not afford to lose allies like LJP and RLSP as it snapped ties with the Shiv Sena and Haryana Janhit Congress.
