Siddiqui asks grand alliance parties to unite or face defeat

Patna,(BiharTimes): The leader of RJD in Bihar Assembly, Abdul Bari Siddiqui, cautioned that if the regional parties in Bihar do not unite, they might be wiped out by the Narendra Modi wave as the RSS would use its cadre in the state Assembly election. The situation may not be different from that in Haryana.

He said that election results of Maharashtra and Haryana are are a wake-up call for the regional parties in the state. He regretted that the unity among the RJD, JD (U) and Congress was ineffective in the absence of any coordination committee and common minimum programme.

Siddiqui said the alliance was experimented in the byelection to 10 Bihar Assembly seats held in August. But, later, the JD (U) leaders started behaving like big brothers, claiming that the alliance was for the by-polls only.

He said if the three parties finalize their alliance just before the Assembly election, it would have no impact on the voters.

He feared the tall leaders of Bihar might meet the fate of NCP chief Sharad Pawar.
