Under which capacity Nitish took six secretaries to Nalanda, asks SuMo

Patna,(BiharTimes): The leader of opposition in the Bihar Legislative Council, Sushil Kumar Modi, on Tuesday questioned the visit of six departmental secretaries to Nalanda along with the former chief minister Nitish Kumar.
Talking to the media after his Janata Darbar the former Bihar deputy chief minister asked under which capacity Nitish took these half a dozen secretaries and held meeting and issued instructions. He is not even a cabinet-rank minister.
Last week Nitish was in Nalanda district and toured the flood hit areas. In Rajgir he visited the Nalanda University, where classes have started on September 1.
SuMo sought disciplinary action against the six officials.
The BJP leader did not hesitate in disclosing the names of some of them.
According to him road construction secretary Arun Kumar Singh, chairman-cum-managing director of Bihar State Power (Holding) Company Limited Pratyaya Amrit, rural works secretary S. Siddharth and few others were present in the meeting.
He also alleged that Nitish got allotted for himself the second largest government bungalow after CM’s official residence, 1, Aney Marg. He has also got a room reserved for him in Bihar Bhavan and a huge sum was spent on renovating it. Only Nitish Kumar can stay there. Nitish owes an explanation to the people of the state that under what rules he got these facilitie.
However, food and consumer protection minister, Shyam Rajak, said that Sushil Modi is a desperate man and asked: can’t a people’s representative meet officials and think for people’s welfare? What’s wrong if Nitishji discusses good work for Nalanda residents?
Meanwhile, a secretary present in Nitish’s meeting, was quoted in the media as saying: “We were in Nalanda to take stock of the flood situation. Nearly eight lakh people have been affected and 50 have died. So, we went to discuss the flood issue and Nitishji just attended the meeting. Even disaster management principal secretary Vyasji and Pratyaya Amrit were there. Amrit had been appointed special district magistrate of Nalanda to tackle the flood situation,” he told the Telegraph.
