It is CM’s duty to prevent a scam: Sushil Modi

Patna,(BiharTimes): Reacting to former chief minister Nitish Kumar’s letter to his former deputy Sushil Kumar Modi the latter on Saturday, in a reply, offered a point-wise rebuttal to his ex-boss.
In a letter to Nitish he posed a few questions. It said a chief minister had a duty to “prevent a scam” and “intervene” in matters of any department, if its activities were under scanners were under scanner.

Sushil Modi asked why the present health minister Ramdhani Singh, who was talking about ordering an inquiry, had spared Nitish.
He asked was Nitish not aware about the scam as health minister when Dr K K Singh Committee was set up on January 13, 2014 to look into the medicine and equipment purchase?
The BJP leader, in the three-page letter, once again asked when the Committee was supposed to submit its report in seven days, was it not the chief minister’s responsibility to ensure that it is submitted within the deadline?
SuMo regretted that Nitish released the letter to the media and posted it on Facebook before it reached him.
