Patna,(BiharTimes): After former BJP vice president Dr C P Thakur, it is the turn of former Bihar health minister Chandra Mohan Rai, to come up in support of Nitish Kumar, though he added that “anybody heading the department when the scam was busted could not escape moral responsibility. Not only the minister incharge of the department concerned, but also the chief m inister is accountable for the same.”
He said Nitish Kumar was a man of clean image. “I know him since long and I have absolutely no doubt about his integrity and honesty. He leads a spartan life and does not need to be dishonest. I endorse the views of Dr C P Thakur on this issue,” he added.
There is serious political implications of the statements of these two leaders as they both come from the same caste. It seems that a strong section of BJP leaders are ganging up against Sushil Kumar Modi, who is spearheading a campaign against Nitish and repeatedly accusing him of being involved in the medicine purchase scam.
