Narendra Modi is running the country like a dictator: Yogendra Yadav

Patna,(BiharTimes): Aam Admi Party leader and noted social scientist, Yogendra Yadav, said that the country does not have any minister other than the Prime Minister. Narendra Modi is running all the ministries. “Have you ever heard that there is an external affairs minister in India,” he said while delivering a lecture on the 10th death anniversary of the noted Socialist ideologue Kishan Patnaik.

“Modi is ruling the country like a dictator. Have you ever heard a prime minister calling up his minister, who is on his way to airport to fly abroad, to ask him to change his dress. It is strange that he is monitoring his ministers in such a way.”

He said that Modi had inflicted a blow to democracy, the concept of development and diversity of the country.

There is no denying the fact that he is ruling the country like a tyrant and hardly paying any respect to the ministers. Honest bureaucrats are leaving the government.

His concept of development is going to benefit only one or two per cent of the people of the country. No government in this country has ever been so rich-friendly than the present one. The BJP has taken all those steps which it had been opposing when it was in the opposition.

He said that the prime minister of the country is not tolerating diversity. This can be proved by the fact that no iftar party was held at the prime minister residence this time. “Yes I too feel that iftar parties are a ‘dhakosla‘ (bogus act). But I would have accepted this argumenst had there been no Navratri festival too there,” he said

He said that the decimation of the Congress in the country has provided a very good opportunity for the growth of alternative politics in the country. But for this one would have to work hard.

He regretted the absence of Kishan Patnaik in this great hour of change in the country and asked his disciples and followers to work for the change in politics of the country.

He said that all the parties the BJP, Congress, Samajwadi Party, RJD, DMK, AIADMK etc have the same ideology and there is nothing new for them to offer.

Yogendra Yadav said that a new ideology needs to be discovered for 21st century India as it would not be appropriate to carry the baggage of the 20th century, he added.

He said that he was not boasting too much yet it is a fact that Aam Admi Party got 1.13 crore, that is, two per cent of votes. It might not be too much, but given the fact that AAP was established only one a half years back it is encouraging that such a large number of people reposed faith and that too druing the Modi wave.

Many voters told that AAP is a good alternative, but said that they are not voting for it as they want to test Modi this time, the noted columnist added.
