After talks with Pappu Yadav doctors of Bihar agree to charge nominal fees from poor

Patna,(BiharTimes): Doctors of Bihar on Saturday decided to charge nominal fees from patients belonging to Below Poverty Line (BPL).

This announcement was made by the vice president of Bihar chapter of Indian Medical Association Sahajanand Prasad Singh and general secretary of Bihar Health Services Association (BHSA), Dr Ajay Kumar, after a three-hour-long meeting with Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP Pappu Yadav.

The BHSA agreed to issue an appeal to their members to lower their consultation fees.

“Keeping in view of the genuine concerns of Pappu Yadav about poor patients, we have decided to issue a circular to all the doctors to take less fees from BPL patients and put a rate list at their clinics or hospitals,” the appeal said.
