PSUs donate generously to CM Relief Fund at fag end of financial year


Patna,(BiharTimes): Different state public sector undertakings (PSUs) generously donated funds to the Chief Minister Relief Fund on March 30, that is, a day before the end of the financial year 2014-15. In all they donated Rs 54.61 crore in one day. The donation varied from Rs 50 lakh to Rs 15 crore.

Bureaucrats heading different state PSUs and ministers concerned personally came to hand over the cheques to chief minister Nitish Kumar at his office in Assembly building. With Rs 15 crore the Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation topped the list of donors. It was followed by Rs 12 crore by the Bihar State Building Construction Corporation.

State Electronics Development Corporation (Beltron) was the lowest among donors. It donated just Rs 50 lakh.

Bihar State Beverages Corporation (Rs 11 crore), Bihar State Cooperative Milk Federation, Bihar State Road Development Corporation and Bihar State Police Building Construction Corporation (each Rs 3 crore), Bihar State Educational Infrastructure Development Corporation and Bihar State

Textbook Corporation (each Rs 2 crore), Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation (Rs 1.11 crore), Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation and Bihar Medical Services and Infrastructure Development Corporation (each Rs 1 crore) donated in the CM Relief Fund.

Thanking the heads of the PSUs Nitish Kumar hoped that in years to come these undertakings would continue to make profit by the honest efforts of all of those who are running them. In the past they were running in loss.
