Patna,(BiharTimes): The vice-chancellor of Patna University Y C Simhadri managed to escape the wrath of the rampaging Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists, who stormed into the office of the principal of Patna Science College in search of him on the Bihar bandh day on Monday.

Armed with sticks and batons they first went to the residence of VC and then to the PU office in search of him. There they came to know the VC had gone to Patna Science College to inspect the ongoing university examinations.

One report said the ABVP workers couldnot trace the VC as he was in the bathroom which was connected with the principal’s office. Other report said that the VC had already left when the ABVP supporters came in search of him.

Though the examinations went on without any disruption examinees faced difficulties in reaching the exam centres because of the bandh. The shutdown call was given in protest against the police lathicharge on the ABVP workers on March 26.
