Kankarbagh blast: All angles are being probed, says Nitish

Patna,(BiharTimes): Commenting on the Monday’s blast in a residential flat at Bahadurpur Housing Colony in Kankarbagh Colony of Patna chief minister Nitish Kumar said that the bombs recovered from the spot had timers and the initial investigation suggests that usually terrorists use them.

Talking to the media on Tuesday he said that the bombs are similar to those used in Bodh Gaya and Patna’s Gandhi Maidan (during Narendra Modi’s Hunkar Rally on Oct 27, 2013). He said that all angles––criminal, extremist and terrorist–– are being probed. The help of NIA would also be sought in this regard. It needs to be recalled that a blast took place in the house of a teacher, Hemant Kumar, on Monday. He is from Hilsa in Nalanda district. He had reportedly rented the flat to Kundan, also of Nalanda.

The blast reportedly took place while someone was making bombs. Kundan has a questionable past and was released from jail only four months back. He was arrested in the police recruitment racket case.
The police claimed to have arrested one Lakshman, from Nalanda district.

Meanwhile, the leader of opposition in the Bihar Assembly, Nand Kishore Yadav, said that Nitish Kumar’s Bihar has become a refuge for terrorists. The blast had its reverberations in the state Assembly too where members demanded the government to reply on the issue. Nand Kishore said that terroirsts want to target Bihar as they had done during the Hunkar Rally. He alleged that the state government has been doing nothing in this regard.

\ Water resources minister Vijay Chandhary, said police are probing the matter and the state government would fully cooperate with the central agencies.
