Retirement age of doctors to be raised to 70: Nitish

 


Patna,(BiharTimes): Chief minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday announced that the retirement age of the state government doctors would be raised from 65 to 70.He made this announcement at the 45th anniversary of the foundation of the Patna-based Nalanda Medical College and Hospital.

He said that at the age of 65 doctors do not become old, in fact become much more experienced and thus should not be retired. His government would have no problem in raising the age of retirement once the file in this regards comes.On this occasion the chief minister also announced that the jobs of all contractual doctors would be confirmed. The contractual doctors had recently been on warpath.Incidentally, the CM made these offers in the election year.
