Janata Parivar constituents agree on symbol, flag of new merged party: Tyagi


Patna,(BiharTimes): Janata Dal (United) national general secretary K C Tyagi said on Wednesday that the six parties of Janata Parivar have decided on the symbol and the flag of the proposed new party.Talking to the media in Patna he said that merger of all these six parties would be announced in time to prepare for the Bihar Assembly elections.


According to him they have zeroed in on two names, Samajwadi Janata Dal and Samajwadi Janata Party.Tyagi denied that there was any obstacle on the path of merger.Interestingly, the name of one of the six constituents is Samajwadi Janata Party, which was formed in early 1990s by the former prime minister Chandrashekar.The other five parties are Janata Dal (United), Rashtriya Janata Dal, Samajwadi Party, Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) and Janata Dal (Secular).
