RLSP throws its door wide open for JD(U) dissidents, rebels

Patna,(BiharTimes): The Rashtriya Lok Samata Party threw its door wide open for the dissidents and rebels of Janata Dal (United).Speaking at the Kisan Naujawan rally at Gandhi Maidan here on Sunday its leader and Union minister of state for human resources development Upendra Kushwaha urged all the JD (U) dissidents and rebels to join his party.

Pooh-poohing the proposed merger he said it is not a ‘vilay’ (merger) but ‘vileen’ (disappearance) of JD(U) and RJD. He said that the self-respecting workers of these two parties can join the RLSP as they are feeling disillusioned.

Hitting out at Nitish Kumar he said the chief minister sat on a fast against land acquisition ordinance, but is least interested in what is happening to farmers in his own state.Citing the state government’s own figures Kushwaha said production of rice, wheat and maize has gone down by 25%, 29% and 47%, respectively, this year.

According to him the land under irrigation has gone down by 40% and more than 90% tubewells are defunct. The agriculture cabinet formed by Nitish has not spent even half the sum allocated to it.Similarly, out of 28 sugar mills, 18 are still sick, the Union minister claimed.

He asked the RLSP workers to work hard in the coming Assembly election and gear up to throw out the present state government.
