SuMo evokes Godhra ghost against Nitish

Patna,(BiharTimes): Thirteen years after the Godhra incident senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi was on Sunday reminded that Bihar chief minister, Nitish Kumar, who was then the railway minister in the Vajpayee cabinet, should have resigned on February 27, 2002 itself.

His rebuttal came a day after Nitish on Saturday retorted that BJP chief Amit Shah should not have said anything about Jungle Raj-2 in Bihar as the latter was actually the ‘naik’ (leader) of the Gujarat riots of 2002.

Addressing the Mahasammelan (mega-conference) of the Mahila Morcha of the Bihar unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party, SuMo, who arrived from Bangalore after attending two-day national executive meeting (April 3-4) said that his party would leave no stone unturned to see to it that the Jungle Raj-2 is
thrown out.

Rejecting the fear that the merged party would pose a big challenge to the saffron brigade the former deputy CM asked Nitish as to how would he accommodate the likes of Shahabuddin, Surendra Yadav, Ritlal Yadav and others in the new outfit.

Incidentally, in 2002 RJD leader Lalu Prasad and several other opposition leaders sought Nitish’s resignation after 59 passengers, returning from Ayodhya after performing ‘kar seva’ were killed in a fire in a coach of Sabarmati Express. Then Nitish was in the NDA and had a very cordial relationship with the likes of Narendra Modi, Sushil Modi and Amit Shah. Now the political equation has changed and all the leaders are speaking different languages.
