Siddhant Vats, a young boy from India who is just 19 years old has been awarded the prestigious Lord Beden Powell National Award 2015. The award ceremony took place at New Delhi. The award has been given by the National Scouts and Guides organization. Every year Lord Beden Powell Award is given to 15 distinguished people from various fields. This award is given for outstanding performance in the fields of Social Service, Music, Film Production, Science, Engineering, Technology, Entrepreneurship, Development etc.

 

Siddhant Vats is a young scientist who invented the World’s First Android Technology Smart Watch. He could do this at a young age of 17 years of age before the techno giants like Samsung, Nokia etc. could do it. He achieved this while pursuing his education in London, UK. Siddhant Vats became the co-founder of Androidly Systems.

 

Siddhant Vats has been a TEDx speaker. He also represented India at Belfast, Ireland at the prestigious HORASIS Global Business meet and was the youngest speaker ever at HORASIS. Siddhant has also been a member and speaker of TIE. He has also been invited by Goa Institute of Management, St. Xavier’s Mumbai etc to deliver motivational lecture on How to Chase Your Dreams which was based on the theme that how young minds can achieve the impossible seeming goals. Siddhant had his schooling in USA, UK and India. He passed his A level exam from London which is equivalent to +2 of India. He completed his middle school education from John Burroughs Middle School, Los Angeles, California, USA and there he got the prestigious Honor Roll for his academic excellence. While in USA he represented South California Cricket Club and played matches and won laurels through this club.

 

Siddhant Vats played a key role in establishing the WAT LAO International Monastery at Bodh Gaya. He took this initiative under the banner of FALAK  FOUNDATION which is a non-profit philanthropic organization which he co-founded. This was a major social work which he did besides imparting computer education to the under-priviledged children in the slums through the platform of Falak Foundation. The Wat Lao Monastery was based in Virginia, USA and he visited the monatery in USA and motivated the priests there to initiate building the monastery in Bodh Gaya and finally it happened through sustained and consistent efforts.

 

Lord Beden Powell National Awards 2015 has been given to Siddhant Vats in recognition of his exceptional achievements in the field of Science Technology, Entrepreneurship, and Social Service.
