I was heckled at RJD’s national executive meeting: Pappu

Patna,(BiharTimes): RJD MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav, alleged that he was heckled by party workers at the behest of its supremo Lalu Prasad when he rose to speak at the party’s national executive meeting on April 5. He said he could not sleep for two nights because of this insult.

Pappu said he was not considered fit to sit on the front row as he was given a chair in the third row.Addressing Jan Samvad rally organised by Yuva Shakti in Katihar district on Tuesday the RJD MP, who has been backing the former chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi since the very beginning said the latter must be taken in the merged outfit as he continues to remain a crucial factor in Bihar politics.

Pappu, whose wife Ranjita Ranjan is the Congress MP from Supaul, has opposed Lalu Prasad’s family rule.Commenting on Lalu’s reported remark that his son would be his natural successor he said that the RJD is not a monarchy in which one can nominate his successor. In democracy, the people are ultimate decision-makers.

He said the RJD chief had said during the party’s national executive meeting that let there be no doubt in anybody’s mind about a successor in the RJD. “It is my son only who will succeed me.”Stating that Lalu continues to be his leader Pappu reminded the RJD chief of ignoring party workers over the issue of merger.
