Era of Socialism, Communism, Capitalism is over

Patna,(Bihartimes): The leader of opposition in the state Legislative Council Sushil Kumar Modi said that the era of Samjwad (Socialism), Communism and Capitalism is over. He said on Sunday that the coming together of the Samajwadis (Socialists of Janata Parivar) would have no impact whatsoever on the politics of Bihar. The new party would bite the dust in the coming Assembly election.

SuMo said that the merger experiments have failed both in the case of Janata Party in late 1970s and Janata Dal in late 1989-91.

Incidentally, the Bharatiya Jan Sangh, the earlier version of the BJP, was an important constituent of the Janata Party which was formed in 1977 but got split in 1979. By 1980 it was disintegrated and the BJP came into existence in April the same year.
