Patna,(BiharTimes): Home minister Rajnath Singh, along with chief minister Nitish Kumar, on Friday made an aerial survey of the storm hit Purnea and adjoining districts of north-east Bihar. Union law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, agriculture minister Radha Mohan Singh and former Bihar deputy chief
minister Sushil Kumar Modi also accompanied them.Later, while talking to the media, Rajnath assured full support to Bihar government in providing relief to the storm-hit areas of the state.“We are fully behind the affected people in this hour of crisis,” he said.

Rajnath Singh assessed the damage caused by the storm in worst-hit Purnea, Madhepura and Katihar districts. He also held a meeting with top state government officials and was satisfied with the initial works.He said he told the chief minister that after aking detailed assessment, the state government should send a memorandum on the basis of which the Centre would provide all necessary funds.
Nitish said he would send a detailed report seeking assistance for those affected by the storm.
