Bihar is going to have another election to elect a new state government. Traditionally; election in Bihar has a reputation of clash between the political leaders rather than the fight of ideology or issues. Unfortunately, even the current election seems to be leaning towards-- politicians trying to settle their scores rather than discussing their plans for the state and how to better the lives of our fellow citizens.
It’s unfortunate that for years Bihar Intelligentsia has been disgustingly and haplessly watching our state constantly falling behind other states in terms of economic prosperity. One more election will be over and one more govt. will be formed, and we will continue with our frustrated comments on social media about govt. action or inaction. But, have we ever wondered, what exactly, do we want from our government? Bihar Intelligentsia must act as think tank and watchdog for the state.
BT appeals to our successful professionals in and outside Bihar to come together and join this campaign. We need to come together and brainstorm the top 10 or 15 issues for our new Govt. and what are the best possible solutions to these issues. Problems are known but do we have some practical solutions?
Technology has made it much easier for us to collaborate in our initiative irrespective of our physical location. The key for this proposed initiative to succeed lies in our ability to organize ourselves so that we are taken seriously by our political leaders and new Govt.
We are not partnering with any specific political party, but we want all of them to accept the power of our group and work with us when they are part of next Govt. Perhaps this could be the best way to play an active role in the political process of the state. Your voice would matter in coming election. Be a part of this campaign.
