Unbelievable: PM flags off Suvidha Express, his Railway Ministry withdraws

Patna,(BiharTimes): It is a unique case of inauguration made by none else but the prime minister of India. Perhaps this has never happened since April 16, 1853 when the first train steamed off on Indian soil.
The bi-weekly fully air-conditioned Suvidha Express to Mumbai, which was flagged off on July 25, by Narendra Modi is yet to have its second trip to India’s commercial capital.
Want to know the reason: it would run on the demand of the people.
Neither the passenger reservation system nor Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is issuing tickets for the train; nor are tickets booking goin online. The IRCTC website does not have details about the train.
Passengers who tried to book ticket for this train have been told that Suvidha Express has been withdrawn. This is causing a lot of resentment as many passengers had planned their trip to Mumbai when they heard that there would be another train for the western metropolis.
During its inaugural run from Patna on July 25 it carried 600-odd passengers on board. As per the Press Release of East Central Railway issued earlier the train was to run from Patna Junction every Wednesday and Sunday at 1 PM. It was to stop at just four places––—Mughalsarai, Chheoki, Jabalpur and Bhusawal––before reaching Mumbai CST.
On return journey, it was to leave Mumbai CST every Friday and Tuesday at 11.05 AM and reach Patna the next day at 3.35 PM.
According to CPRO of East Central Railway, Arvind Rajak passengers interested to travel on this train would have to send their requests to ECR’s chief commercial manager to run Suvidha Express. Otherwise, it would not run in normal course.
Opposition leaders are quick to take political advantage of this issue and may make it an election issue as the Narendra Modi government has, to quote one of them, once again cheated the people of the country, as it had did in case of bringing back black money to India.
