We would not let PM go scot free after DNA remarks: Nitish

Patna,(BiharTimes): Launching Shabd Wapsi (Take Back Words) campaign ïn Patna on Tuesday Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar said “We would not let Prime Minister Narendra Modi go scot free after his DNA remarks. He is in the habit of indulging in such loose talks which does not behove a prime minister.”

He said Janata Dal (United) waited for PM to retract his remarks, but as he had not done so. Thus his party’supporters are sending their hair and nail samples to the PM. He is now free to get them tested.
JD(U) leaders and supporters are seen cutting their hair and nails to send them to PM with television channels highlighting this political melodrama.

This is a unique type of campaign tactics adopted by the ruling party of Bihar.

However, the leader of opposition in legislative council Sushil Kumar Modi said that political DNA is being tested by the people and not doctors. The people have reduced the JD(U) to only two seats last year.

He said that otherwise the DNA test of 50 lakh people, as claimed by the JD(U), would cost Rs 3,000 crore.

The JD-U, along with the Rashtriya Janata Dal, the Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party will also hold a 'Swabhiman' rally on August 29 here.

Addressing a public meeting in Muzaffarpur on July 25, Modi said: "There seems to be some problem in his (Nitish Kumar) DNA because the DNA of democracy is not like that. In democracy, you give respect even to your political rivals."
