If hurt by cancellation of dinner ,why BJP contested election under me: Nitish

Patna,(BiharTimes): Hitting back at prime minister Narendra Modi for his remarks about the cancellation of dinner on June 12, 2010 Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar asked if the BJP leaders were really so hurt than why did they contest the Assembly election under his leadership only four months later.

Questioning the very wisdom of Narendra Modi he asked as to why had he been reminded of that issue now.

Calling the BJP leaders as ‘Bayan Bahadur,’ who only gives statements the chief minister, while sharing the dais for the first time with Lalu Prasad a day after Wednesday joint Press conference of grand alliance, said these people want to grab power in the state, but the people of Bihar would not allow them to do so.

The two leaders were addressing EBC Mahasammelan at jam-packed Shri Krishna Memorial Hall on Thursday.

Nitish once again asked how can they call Bihar a BIMARU state when it is on its path to development?

Speaking on the occasion RJD chief asked as to why the Centre is shying away from releasing the caste census when the last one took place in 1931 when Pakistan and Bangladesh were part of India. “How can the percentage of different castes and Dalits be the same now after two countries have been carved out from India,” he thundered.

Strongly defending the chief minister over his campaign against Narendra Modi’s remarks on DNA he said that Nitish is not alone, but now Lalu is with him.

Lalu said that the impact of coming Assembly election would not be felt only in Bihar, but would affect the politics across the country. The countdown to BJP would start. It is not Jungle Raj-II, but Mangal Raj-II, he said.

While he was lethal in his attack on prime minister, the RJD chief, as is his wont, once again ridiculed Sushil Kumar Modi and called him as stepney of Nitish Kumar, when he was the deputy CM of Bihar.

Both the leaders urged the assembled crowd to gather at Patna’s Gandhi Maidan on August 30 to attend Swabhiman Rally of the grand alliance.
