Patna(BiharTimes): The much publicized “Breakfast with the CM” programme with CM Nitish Kumar, which was organised under "Badh Chala Bihar" campaign soon became controversial as it was alleged that Patna High Court in its order has banned this event.

"It was an illegal meeting and contempt of court too. Honorable High Court Patna has banned to organize such a publicity oriented event on public money except data collection," accused RTI activist, Shiv Prakash Rai, who had filed a PIL in Patna High Court.

"Much to the surprise a host of senior journalists have attended this meeting without questioning the legality of the event" he added. "Almost all newspapers had prominently carried the news of Patna High Court order related to ban" Rai said.

"We have already filed a complaint seeking contempt of court action in a recently organised ‘Bihar Development Dialogue’ event organised in Delhi," he told BiharTimes.

Quoting from Court order he said that Court clearly said: "We are, prima facie, of the view that the exercise undertaken by the State at this stage is not that important and immediate."
