What do frequent visits of PM, Union ministers suggest?

Patna,(BiharTimes): No prime minister in India’s history has visited Bihar so frequently in such a short duration as Narendra Modi. Between July 25 and September 1 he would be addressing as high as seven public meetings––if no last minute addition is made as in Ara.
Some of them are official functions as Prime Minister and others as the tallest BJP leader.
Incidentally, the carpet-bombing of Bihar is being done before the announcement of election dates.
He started his forays into Bihar on July 25 with two official functions in the state capital, Patna, to be followed by a public rally. in Muzaffarpur.
Then on August 9 he toured Gaya for a couple of hours where he addressed a public meeting. Then on August 18 he addressed a public meeting in Saharsa. But before that an official function was, somewhat hurriedly, organized in Ara.
If no more programme is added he would be finally attending a similar gathering at Bhagalpur on September 1. Thus in 37 days he would be addressing at least seven meetings in different corners of the state.
No doubt people––both supporters and opponents––still gather in large number to listen to him.
Thus the number of meetings he would be addressing before the announcement of election dates would be much more than in the entire election campaign of 2014 in Bihar.
True last year he was to tour the entire country. But then he was not the Prime Minister of the country then and was not pre-occupied with so much works.
For example, he would be landing in Patna on way to Ara and Saharsa just after an overnight stay in the national capital after a visit to UAE.
These frequent visits to Bihar by a PM in such short duaration reveal something: one, he has a big stamina and can work hard. Second; he is serious in winning the Bihar election; and third, it reflects the uneasiness within the BJP about the party’s poll prospect in Bihar.
If these trips have nothing to do with election and just for the sake of development the Prime Minister could have visited it any time between May 26, 2014 and July 25, 2015 too.
No doubt the BJP is a cadre based party well versed in the art of propaganda. The manner in which so many Union ministers––many of them from outside Bihar––are visiting the state before the PM’s journeyh is also something very unusual.
What the BJP is not realizing is that the repeated trips into Bihar by PM and his cabinet colleagues are exposing the panic within.
“The visits clearly show that party rank and file are not sure of the victory as last year. The BJP should not plan the whole exercise in such a way as it exposes its weakness. In fact it is pressing into service the Prime Minister of the country without doing any ground work, that is, finalizing seat adjustments, and announcing CM candidate,” said a commentator.
If PM visits to Bihar continue in the same way after the announcement of election dates he may end up visiting more than a dozen places.
Political commentators are reminded of the situation in Delhi early this year. The Prime Minister addressed several meetings, a large number of cabinet ministers, CMs and MPs were pressed into service. The more they toured different parts of Delhi the more they exposed their weakness. The result was complete rout.
“Apparently these visits work as a morale booster for the party rank and file, but at the same time it increases the fear of defeat within,” said an analyst, who wished not to be quoted.
