Patna,(BiharTimes): BJP members in the Bihar Legislative Council on Tuesday protested the absence of helath minister Tej Pratap from the Upper House when he was supposed to reply during the Question Hour.
The issue was raised by the opposition when parliamentary affairs minister Shrawan Kumar stood up to reply the questions of health department.

BJP member Nawal Kishore Yadav asled for a specific reply from the chairman, Awadesh Narayan Singh, whether the minister has informed the House about his absence or not. 

The BJP MLC said he was sure the House was not informed about his absence since there are so many listed health department questions in the Council.

Leader of the Opposition in the Council Sushil Kumar Modi said the House should be informed whether the minister concerned is ill or absent due to other reasons. He asked as to how could another minister reply on issues related to an important department?

Upon this the ruling alliance members said any minister can reply on his behalf. 
Shrawan Kumar then intervened to say that Tej Pratap is not well.
