Brishen Patel new state chief of HAM (S)

Patna,(BiharTimes): Former Bihar minister Brishen Patel was on Wednesday nominated Bihar state unit president of Hindustani Awam Morcha-Secular (HAM-S) by party chief and former CM Jitan Ram Manjhi.
Patel was a senior minister in the Nitish Kumar government before parted away from the party along with former chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi and formed a new political party Hindustani Awam Morcha-Secular (HAM-S). However he lost the last assembly election from Vaishali constituency.

“Patel has been appointed in place of Shakuni Chaudhary who had resigned from the posr taking moral responsibility of party’s debacle in the assembly election held recently” said party spokes person Ved Prakash.

The newly floated party HAM(S) led by Jitan Ram Manjhi contested the assembly election as a constituent of NDA. The party had fielded its candidates in 21constituencies but could win only one seat. Jitan Ram Manjhi is a lone party representative in current assembly. Former chief minister Manjhi won Imamganj(SC) seat by defeating former speaker Uday Narayan Chaudhary.
