Bihar deputy CM allotted official bungalow in Patna

Patna, Dec 15 (IANS) Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav has been allotted an official bungalow in the high security zone in the state capital, an official said on Tuesday.

"Tejaswi Yadav has been allotted the bungalow at 5, Deshratan Marg, located just behind 1, Anne Marg, the official residence of the chief minister," said an official of the building construction department, which allot bungalows to ministers and legislators.

Tejaswi, 26, is living with his parents at 10, Circular Road, the bungalow allotted to his mother and former chief minister Rabri Devi.

An official bungalow will also be allotted to Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad's elder son Tej Pratap Yadav, the state health minister, soon.

Earlier, it was reported that Lalu Prasad was not keen on separate official bungalows for his sons Tejaswi and Tej Pratap.

Tejaswi made his debut in the state assembly with a victory in Raghopur constituency while Tej Pratap won in Mahua.

According to RJD leaders close to the RJD chief, both Tejaswi and Tej Pratap will continue to stay at their parents' house even after they get to occupy separate official residences.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is at present staying at 7, Circular Road. He is likely to shift to the CM's official residence at 1, Anne Marg early next year.

Nitish Kumar vacated the CM's official residence in 2014 after he resigned following the ruling Janata Dal-United's defeat in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls.
