JD(U) accuses RSS, BJP of conspiring against minorities

Patna,(BiharTimes): The national executive of Janata Dal (United) on Sunday passed a political resolution accusing the BJP and RSS of hatching conspiracies against religious and linguistic minorities.
The two-day national executive on its first day on Sunday decided to expand the party’s base outside Bihar and project Nitish Kumar at the national level. The party is keen to form a grand alliance at the national level and may contest 30 seats in the Assembly election of Uttar Pradesh in 2017.

The party is hopeful that the election results of Bihar would have its impact on the states going for Assembly election in 2016. They are Assam, West Bengal, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

According to JD(U) general secretary K C Tyagi Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar is a “prime ministerial material” as well as “the most competent and honest chief minister in the country”.

The meeting was presided over by party’s national president Sharad Yadav and attended by all top leaders, including Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar.

The Janata Dal (United) rged the Congress to make sacrifice in Assam, where it is in power to form an alliance with Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) and All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF).

The party had decided to approach the Election Commission (EC) with a request for changing its election symbol of ‘arrow’ to a ‘wheel’.

Tyagi reiterated that in the recently held Assembly election, JD(U) candidates had lost several seats due to confusion among voters over almost similar election symbols of Shiv Sena and the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha.
