SHO suspended in engineer murder case


Patna,(BiharTimes): The Station House Officer (SHO) of Baheri, Rama Shankar Singh, was on Sunday suspended even as the Special Task Force (STF) launched an investigation into the killing of two engineers of a rural construction company M/s BSCCNC in Darbhanga on Saturday.

So far a dozen people have been rounded up in this connection.

According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Darbhanga, A K Satyarthi six persons were detained from a housing colony under Laheriasarai police station area of the town for interrogation. He said Baheri SHO has been suspended on charge of dereliction of duty.

IG, Special Task Force (STF) Sushil M Khopde and its SP Shivdeep Lande inspected the site where the two engineers Brajesh Kumar and Mukesh Kumar were shot dead by unidentified gunmen.

The district police have seized 12 used cartridge shells of AK-47, a cartridge of country-made pistol and leaflets of Bihar People’s Liberation.

The leaflets left behind the attackers warned about carrying out more such activities.

Massive manhunts are on in Muzaffarpur, Sitamarhi and Darbhanga.
