SuMo urges Manjhi to dissolve Assembly, announce election

Patna,(BiharTimes): Former deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi on Tuesday urged chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi to muster courage and dissolve the state Assembly and announce the election as caretaker chief minister.

Speaking at Ravidas Jyanti function here he said that former chief minister Nitish Kumar is adding fuel to the flame while asking Manjhi to douse the fire with fire-tender. He asked Manjhi to show courage and assert as Mahadalit leader of the state.

The BJP leader, who returned from Delhi after campaigning, expressed full confidence that his party would win the election there. Sushil Kumar Modi said that though some surveys showed that the BJP is trailing, but the difference is only 1.5 to two per cent and the BJP would surely form government as four
days are left for the election.

Ridiculing Nitish he said that the latter never went to Delhi and is only wishing success to Aam Admi Party from Bihar.SuMo held the Nitish Kumar government responsible for producing weak evidence before the court to ensure the acquittal of all the Dalit massacres accused, be it at Shankarbigha, Bathani Tola, Bathe or any other place. He said that while the massacres of Dalits took place during the
reign of Lalu Prasad and his wife the perpetrators got acquittal during the rule of Nitish Kumar. This show their love for Dalits, he added.

However, what he left unsaid is that the court acquitted the accused involved in over half a dozen big carnages when the BJP was sharing power with the Janata Dal (United) in Bihar. In those seven and a half years it never raised the issue, but would defend the same Nitish government.
