Manjhi questions JD(U)LP meet, refuses to bow down

Patna,(BiharTimes): Chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi on  Thursday night questioned the decision of the Janata Dal  (United) chief Sharad Yadav to call the meeting of the  party’s Legislative Party on Feburay 7.
The Press statement issued from the chief minister’s  residence denied all rumours of Manjhi’s resigning from his  post.

Manjhi asked as to how can the party national chief call the  meeting when the prerogative is of the leader of the  Legislative Party, that is, the chief minister. The announcement from the CM’s residence have made it clear  that the battleline has been drawn and Manjhi camp is  prepared for the final showdown.

Ministers of the Manjhi camp, such as, Narendra Singh, Bhim  Singh, Brishen Patel, Nitish Mishra, Shahid Ali Khan, Samrat  Chaudhary, Binay Bihari, Mahachandra Prasad Singh etc were  seen at the CM’s residence.

PHED minister Mahachandra Prasad Singh, told the media  outside the CM’s residence that calling the Legislative Party  meeting is the prerogative of the chief minister and not of  the party president.

Noted rebel leader Gyanendra Singh Gyanu, along with his  supporters, were also present there.  Senior party leader Shakuni Chaudhary, father of Samrat, said  that Manjhi is fire, and whosoever touches him would get  burnt.

As reported the national JD(U) president called the meeting  of JD(U)LP at 4:00 PM on February 7. Earlier in the day, while speaking at a function in Jehanbad  Manjhi said that he is working under pressure from certain  quarters.
