Patna,(BiharTimes): Chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi on Thursday  announced that subsidy for SCST families would be hiked to 80  per cent in all government schemes. Besides, all farmers owning  up to five acres of land would get free electricity. He said at present people manage the payment of electricity bill by giving bribe to officials so it is better to make it  free for small farmers. 

Manjhi assured contract teachers that he would solve their  problems. He also announced formation of a committee to  formulate a reservation policy for the poor among the upper  castes.
