CM’s nephew files case against JD(U) MLA Anant Singh

Patna,(BiharTimes): The nephew of chief minister Jitan Ram  Manjhi on Tuesday registered an FIR against controversial  JD(U) MLA Anant Singh for allegedly threatening to beat up  the CM for challenging the leadership of Nitish Kumar.

Incidentally, Manjhi is a Mahadalit so the case has been  lodged under Acts related to Dalit atrocities.

According to station house officer of Khizersarai police  station in Gaya district Sushil Kumar Rahul the FIR was  registered on the complaint of Upendra Manjhi, the nephew of  chief minister. He said the FIR has been lodged under Section 506 (punishment  for criminal intimidation) and SC/ST Act of the IPC.

Upendra said that during a television interview on February  11, Anant Singh, notorious for his strong arm tactic, used  filthy language and threatened to beat up the chief minister. Minister for art and culture Benay Bihari said in Patna that  Manjhi had consulted some legal experts to approach the court  against the Mokama MLA.
