BJP walks out of all-party meeting

Patna,(BiharTimes): On February 16 the BJP boycotted the all-party meeting called by the Speaker, Uday Narayan Chaudhary, compelling the latter to cal another one on February 18. But on Wednesday (Feb 18) the leader of the BJP in the Bihar Assembly walked out of the meeting accusing the office of the Speaker of working like the office of Janata Dal (United). He also charged that Speaker with adopting unconstitutional means.

However, the state president of the Janata Dal (United), Vashistha Narayan Singh said that Nand Kishore’s behaviour was shocking and condemnable as there was no rhyme and reason to walk out of the meeting. The leader of the JD(U) in the state Assembly Vijay Chaudhary said that he failed to understand what was Nand Kishore’s stand. The walk out was totally uncalled for.Commenting on governor’s statement Vijay Chaudhary said he is issuing statements like a politician. It does not behove his office.

The leader of the RJD in the state Assembly, Abdul Bari Siddiqui, also flayed the behaviour of Nand Kishore and said that chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi should make it clear which party he is representing. Meanwhile, the JD(U) MLA Manjit Singh on Wednesday tore apart the whip issued by the chief whip of the Manjhi camp, Rajiv Ranjan Singh.

He tore it in the state Assembly in presence of mediapersons stating that this is illegal. Rajiv Ranjan can not issue whip as he has no authority to do so, Manjit Singh said.
