Patna (BiharTimes): Bihar BJP may support Jitan Ram Manjhi during trust vote on February 20. During the meeting of legislative party ahead the assembly session, there was a consensus on bailing out Manjhi government during vote of confidence. Though, formal announcement may come on Friday evening or even at the floor of the house.

Briefing the mediapersons after the meeting the leader of opposition in the Bihar Legislative Council Sushil Kumar Modi said that the official position would be made public only on Thursday after holding meeting with some more legislators.He said that the BJP MLAs were upset over the way JD(U)LP ‘leader’ Nitish Kumar humiliated and insulted a Mahadalit chief minister of the state just for the sake of power. The only fault of Manjhi was that he started taking his own decision and refused to toe the line of Nitish Kumar.

Currently, 12 MLAs have come out openly in support of Manjhi and the crucial support of 87 BJP MLAs along with three independents will make 102. Manjhi still has to get some more MLAs support to get the magical figure of 117 to continue in power.
