Pappu offers to quit his Lok Sabha seat

Patna,(BiharTimes): Lashing out at chief minister Nitish Kumar the dissident RJD MP from Madhepura, Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav, said on Wednesday that he would send his resignation to the party president Lalu Prasad in a few days. If Lalu wishes he can send it to the Speaker of the Lok Sabha after the marriage of his daughter.

Talking to the media outside Parliament he strongly refuted the charge levelled by some leaders in his own party, including Lalu Prasad’s son that he is hand in glove with the BJP. He even cautioned outgoing CM Jitan Ram Manjhi to maintain a distance from the saffron party and said that he himself is not bothered about what some ‘petty’ leaders say.Pappu came down heavily on prime minister Narendra Modi’s stand on land acquisition and added that if he wants to run the government with the help of ordinances then there is no need for Parliament.

Pappu said that if Lalu thinks that he won because of the latter and RJD, then let it be made clear as to why not all of those who contested could win.“If Lalu thinks that I have hurt and cheated him I am sending my resignation letter,” he added.Pappu accused Nitish of planning to finish off the RJD.Pappu said Nitish has given plum portfolios to JD(U) leaders who have been working overtime to finish Lalu’s career and party.

According to Pappu leaders like Abdul Bari Siddiqui also said that the RJD was not consulted by Nitish before constituting the cabinet.
