State cabinet decision on diesel price flayed

Patna,(BiharTimes): Trade bodies and opposition parties have  flayed the decision of the state cabinet to increase the VAT  on diesel.

According to the president of Bihar Chamber of Commerce and  Industry O P Sah the hike in diesel price implies increased  transportation cost. This in turn would lead to rise in price  of commodities.

The leader of opposition in the state Assembly Nand Kishore  Yadav dubbed the decision as “anti-people” and said that  Bihar government is bent upon denying the people the benefits  of falling prices of petroleum products.

He claimed that inter-state operators would avoid buying fuel  in the state as diesel prices in Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh  were less.
