We are not in a hurry, says Lalu

Patna,(BiharTimes): RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav said on Thursday that nobody is in a hurry for merger of the parties of Janata Parivar.

Talking to journalists at the ‘dahi-chura’ party organized for minorities he said that the mediapersons appear to be in more hurry than he himself for the merger of these parties.

Had bad ka kaam gadbad hojata hai” (Haste makes waste), he said adding that there is no hurdle whatsoever in the path of merger. He reiterated that Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav has been authorized to take the final decision in this regard.

He said that his daughter’s marriage is to be held in February hinting clearly that the merger would take place only after it and at the national level and not just at the Bihar level. Lalu, who along with Raghuvansh Prasad Singh, called on ailing Nitish Kumar on Wednesday evening, held the centrestage on both days of makarsankranti.

Political observers are of the view that it was Lalu who was calling the shot on this occasion, especially after the absence of Nitish Kumar from the scene.

In the feast hosted on Thursday––as on Wedneday––the RJD chief was personally supervising the arrangements. He told journalists that in the recent years he have started hosting separate ‘dahi-chura’party for the minorities.Wishing good luck to everyone he said India is for all the religions. Communal forces want to disturb this amity.

“I am thankful to Laluji for making separate arrangement for us,” said Dr Ejaz Ali of All India United Muslim Morcha, who was among those present on the occasion. RJD leader Bhola Prasad, claimed that, apart from other partymen, some BJP leaders also attended the feast.
