Lalu questions BJP’s belated love for Karpoori, to lead march to Raj Bhawan on March 15

Patna,(BiharTimes): Ridiculing the belated love of Bharatiya Janata Party for the former chief minister Karpoori Thakur, Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Wednesday announced that his party workers would hold a big public meeting in Gandhi Maidan on March 15 and then would march to Raj Bhawan to ask the Narendra Modi government to deposit lakhs of rupees of black money in the account of the people as promised before the Lok Sabha election. Speaking at a function organized at the party’s state office to observe the birth anniversary of late Karpoori Thakur Lalu asked as to how these people who opposed reservation and brought down his government (in 1979) be championing his cause now.

The RJD president questioned the double speaks of the saffron party over the issue of reservation in job and education and strongly criticized it for communally vitiating the atmosphere in the country.

Without raising the issue of merger he said that whosoever wants to join him he or she can come, but he would continue with his programme to tour whole of Bihar after the marriage of her youngest daughter on February 26 and than march to the Raj Bhawan.

Lalu and other RJD leaders, especially Raghuvansh Prasad Singh, who too spoke on the occasion were a bit surprised over the sudden lack of interest shown towards merger by Nitish Kumar, who had announced that the Janata Dal (United) would hold its own rally on February 15.

However, he tried to downplay the issue of merger by stating that they are all working for it and the merger would take place soon.Raghuvansh on his part was a bit perturbed over the delay on the part of Nitish Kumar and said that his party had been earnestly waiting for merger for the last so many days but
nothing had happened.
