Ram Vilas blasts Manjhi, says Assembly poll will be fought in name of Narendra Modi

Patna,(BiharTimes): Departing from the line adopted by theBharatiya Janata Party, Lok Janshakti Party leader and Unionfood minister Ram Vilas Paswan said here on Wednesday that the Jitan Ram Manjhi government is surviving “BhagwanBharose” (God’s mercy) and may collapse any moment.Commenting on the report sought by the governor Keshri NathTripathi he came down heavily on the Manjhi government forthe communal violence at Azizpur in Muzaffarpur district andother incidents.

Ram Vilas said that not only has the law and order collapsedbut “officer-shahi ka nanga nach ho raha hai” (naked dance ofbureaucracy is going on). There is nothing like government in Bihar, where ministers are asking the chief minister tofollow discipline.

He expressed grave concern over the seeking of report by thegovernor.Describing the BJP as elder brother he said seat sharing isnot an issue. Whether LJP gets two, 10, 50 or 100 seats doesnot matter. The only goal of his party is that the presentstate government should be replaced. On Tuesday too Ram Vilas made a similar remarks in Gaya, while attending a programme organized on the 10th death anniversary of former MP Rajesh Kumar.

He also said that after the coming to power of the NDA government in Bihar a CBI probe would be ordered into the killing of Rajesh Kumar. Ram Vilas Paswan’s attack on the chief minister in Gaya isconsidered significant as it is his home town.On Wednesday the Union minister did not just stop here. Hewent on to state that “the coming Assembly election would be contested in the name of Narendra Modi and no other leader. A government would be formed after the election like inHaryana, Maharashtra and Jharkhand.”

He was replying to a direct question posed by a newsman as to who would be the NDA’s face in Bihar for the Assembly poll. The question acquired siginificance because in Delhi election the BJP has projected Kiran Bedi as the chief ministerialcandidate.

His comment is in contrast to the BJP national president Amit Shah’s Jan 24 statement that the parliamentary board of hisparty would take decision in this regard. Shah did not say that the election would be fought in the name of NarendraModi and kept the option open.

Analysts are of the view that Ram Vilas has, in a way, opposed the candidature of former deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi. The BJP does not want this debate to continue as there are several leaders within who are opposedto SuMo.

Meanwhile, another Union minister from Bihar Ram Kripal Yadav said on Wednesday that Manjhi is a plain speaking man andhurdles are being created in his work by the ministersbelonging to the Nitish Kumar camp of ruling Janata Dal(United).
