66 SAP personnel sacked

 


Patna,(BiharTimes): The state police headquar-ters on Tuesday terminated the contract of 66 personnel of Special Auxiliary Police on charges of indiscipline and breaching rules of employment.
SAP was raised after Nitish Kumar government came to power in November 2005. Ex-servicement were inducted into it.
Over 7,500 SAP personnel are engaged in anti-Maoists operation, Railways, prisons, excise, SDRF etc. They were on indefinite strike since June 9 to press their nine-point demands.
ADG Headquarters Sunil Kumar said that those dismissed include 17 from Muzaffarpur, 14 from Bhagalpur, 11 from Sitamarhi, seven each from Chapra and Siwan, six from Seohar and four from Begusarai.
The dismissal followed clashes between SAP and Patna Police jawans near Dak Bungalow crossing on June 26.
They also staged sit-in near Kargil Chowk and raised slogans against Nitish Kumar.
