Patna,(BiharTimes): Tarari MLA of Janata Dal (United) Sunil Pandey on Saturday denied having any link with the noted criminal and an accused in Ara blast case of January 23 last, Sachchidanand Sharma, alias Lambu Sharma.
“I do not know Lambu. I do not even recognize him. I have nothing to do with him. I learnt from the media about his alle-gations,” he told journalists.
Lambu had, during the interrogation, alleged that he had links with Sunil Pandey, a former Ranvir Sena man, and that he had been paid by the MLA to liquidate UP don, Mukhtar Ansari, who is presently lodged in Agra jail.
Sunil Pandey’s name figured in the killing of the chief of Ranvir Sena, Brahmeshwar Singh alias Mukhiyaji, on June 1, 2012.
His brother Ulhas Pandey, a former JD(U) MLC, is now contest-ing election as an independent.
