Patna,(BiharTimes): The national general secretary of Rashtriya Janata Dal Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha on Friday asked the JD(U) leadership for disciplinary action against leaders with criminal antecedents.
Though he avoided taking names he obviously referred to jailed MLA Anant Singh and another JD(U) MLA Sunil Pandey.
Bhagwan reiterated that action against Anant was possible because of the pressure created by RJD president Lalu Prasad. 
However, he hastened to add that the RJD was standing strongly with chief minister Nitish Kumar and would urge him to take stern action against anybody who was on the wrong side of the law, irrespective of their party affiliations. The JD(U) is yet to take action against these two MLAs and some media reports suggest that they may cross over to the LJP.
