Patna,(BiharTimes): Leaders of ruling Janata Dal (United), RJD and Congress––along with 6,000 others––gathered at an Iftar party hosted by chief minister Nitish Kumar at his residence in Patna on Saturday. 

Apart from Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad, RJD leader Abdul Bari Siddiqui, state Congress chief Ashok Choudhary, Congress legislative party leader Sadanand Singh and senior Congress leader and former Kerala governor Nikhil Kumar were present on the occasion.

The ‘namaz’ was led by Maulana Shameem Monimi, in which Nitish Kumar too took part.

The chief minister personally supervised the arrangements. Nitish requested people not to leave the premises without having Iftar, which was cooked by Rehman Barwarchi of the Patna City area.
More important than the menu was the participation of different leaders of the ruling JD(U) and the other two parties. Apparently there was no impact of the council election debacle and no rancour among those present on the occasion. 

Assembly Speaker Uday Narayan Choudhary, ministers and other JD(U) leaders were also present on the occasion.
