Patna,(BiharTimes): In a major development Patna Saheb MP of the BJP, Shatrughan Sinha, virtually crossed over to the rival JD(U)-RJD camp. Not only he skipped Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public meeting in Muzaffarpur, but went on to meet chief minister Nitish Kumar.
Incidentally, he attended the official function of PM in Patna on Saturday morning.
The two remained closeted for more than half an hour.
Later the film-star showered praise on Nitish Kumar and called him ‘Vikas Purush’ (Development man).
He said that prime minister Narendra Modi should not accuse Nitish on the development front when so much is being done for Bihar and the chief minister is rated so high all over the country.
Shatrughan is also likely to attend the Kayastha Sammelan organized by JD(U) leader Rajiv Ranjan Sinha and RJD leader Vinod Srivastava on Sunday.
The BJP had already organized one such caste meeting of the Kayastha in which Shatru did not attend.
Saturday’s development is being interpreted as a big blow to BJP on the day the saffron party launched a blistering attack, on what PM Narendra Modi repeatedly called, the Jungle Raj in Bihar.
