Patna,(BiharTimes): Former chief minister and leader of Hindustani Awam Morcha, Jitan Ram Manjhi, on Tuesday gave up his claim for the chief ministerial candidate of the NDA.
Making this announcement at his house in Gaya he told mediapersons that since he had lost word on this count, he is no more staking his claim for the post of CM. 
Manjhi, it needs to be recalled, failed to get the support of the BJP and quit on the eve of seeking trust vote last February though initially he made a big claim of winning it. 
Yet, of late, he is showering praise on the saffron party leaders, especially prime minister Narendra Modi and criticizing chief minister Nitish Kumar.
He also refused to say anything on the number of seats his party is demanding to contest in the coming Assembly election.
Manjhi watchers are now of the view that he may no more demand 70-odd seats as in the past and may agree on much less number.
