Vashistha welcomes Congress stand on Nitish

 


Patna,(BiharTimes): State president of the Janata Dal (United),Vashistha Narayan Singh on Tuesday criticized RJD vice presidentRaghuvansh Prasad Singh’s remarks that projecting Nitish Kumar wouldharm the prospect of the JD(U)-RJD combine in the coming Assemblyelection.

Talking to the media Vashistha Narayan Singh said that Nitish Kumarshould be projected as the chief ministerial candidate ahead of the Assembly poll as he is the most acceptable face.

Welcoming the statement of BPCC chief Ashok Chaudhary in favour of projecting Nitish Kumar the state party chief said that so far JanataDal (United) is concerned all the official spokespersons have been instructed not to give any controversial statement on merger or alliance. However, it would be upto the RJD to decide what anyoneshould say and what not.

“Our stand is clear: we would go with Nitish Kumar. His track recordof governance is very good. I am happy that the Congress has supported his candidature,” the state JD(U) chief said.
