Would certainly tie up with Congress: Nitish

Patna,(BiharTimes): Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar said on Mondaythat the Janata Dal (United) would certainly go with the Congressparty during the coming Assembly election of Bihar though its alliancetalks with the RJD is yet to reach any conclusion.

Talking to the media he said his party has a very very goodcoordination with the Congresss, which is supporting his governmentand had contested the by-election together last year.

Apparently he was commenting on the BPCC chief Ashok Chaudhary’sstatement that Congress is in favour of projecting Nitish Kumar as thechief ministerial candidate of the alliance as Lalu Prasad faces legalobstacles. He also said that the Congress wants allies to grow strong along with the party itself.

Chaudhary met Rahul Gandhi on Saturday and party president, Sonia Gandhi on Monday.

Nitish said his party is for the continuation of this alliance for the coming Assembly election.

The chief minister, however, clarified that the last word on allianceor merger with RJD had not yet come. He said as many people are speaking on the issue it is not proper for him to speak in the middle of the process, which was started by him.

On RJD vice president Raghuvansh Prasad Singh’s comment opposing Nitish as the CM candidate he said that he does not have anyinformation whether anyone is speaking at anyone’s behest.

He added that too much should not be read into the announcement of JD(U)’s programme which was routine.
