Patna,(BiharTimes): Two days after the mango-litchi controversy erupted another ‘claimant’ to these fruits has emerged.

RJD chief Lalu Prasad on Friday said that in fact it was during his and Rabri Devi’ tenure as the chief minister that mango, litchi and other trees were planted on the campus of chief minister’s residence. In that way he too is entitled to these fruits growing in the orchard at 1, Anney Marg.

Incidentally, former chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi agreed with Lalu’s claim and said that the RJD chief is certainly entitled to these fruits.

Only on Wednesday Manjhi charged CM Nitish Kumar with deploying policemen to prevent poor and Dalit visitors to his residence from plucking any fruit.
