No scope for minority becoming CM candidate in present situation: Siddiqui

Patna,(BiharTimes): Leader of Rashtriya Janata Dal in Bihar Assembly Abdul Bari Siddiqui said on Saturday that there is no scope in the present situation for a minority to become chief ministerial candidate of JD(U)-RJD combine in Bihar.

Talking to the media he said that there are several candidates for the post of chief minister, including he himself. If Jitan Ram Manjhi, a Mahadalit, can become the chief minister why cam not a minority? he asked.

However, he added, in the present situation when politics has been so much polarised and vitiated by the BJP propaganda that it is difficult to project any one from the minority community to the post of CM. No minority would accept this throne of throes at this point of time.

He hoped that all the hurdles on the path of alliance between JD(U) and his party may be sorted out in the next three-four days.
